hi postie, i hope u've been having ur soups and that they are keeping you nice and warm.
mr bloggie has decided to be a lil more hardworking today. =D

i've been reali caught up w internship.
awhile and i'm into the 5th week now.
8 more weeks to go.

I feel like a lil office rat.
dun get me wrong.
the job's great.
just that office hours means that you cant do some stuff cos it also means office hours over for others too.
like my putting off to see the doctor for my back.
another work hazard.
i feel like a old lady.
who sits at her desk hiding behind the com.
secretly pleased and waiting in anticipation for lunch break.

talking about lunchbreak, i've given up on the building's canteen.
by the end of week one i cud tell u wats one the menu.
fried rice, fried beehoon, horfun or the daily special:
mon meesiam, tue fishball noodles, wed prawn mee...
thurs lormee and fri i'm not sure cos by then ms tiara run away.

so now, lunch=lunchbox!!
Presenting the candidates:



i must admit that i'm not a white rice or white potatoes or white bread person.
so lunchbox has been revolving ard cold sobas, scones, sandwiches, muffins, grain breads and sweet potatoes to go along with whatever i prepare.
which have included stuff like pumpkin friattas with three peppers, and lots of homemade stews...
(a lil messy looking to be posted here =D not that the pics here are great tho. i'm usually too eager to eat. Pardon the ice in the carrots, i had to thaw them after.)

made a banana walnut loaf tue nite.
it was realli nice cos it was raining and i was clearing the kitchen b4 mummi gets home fr her jakarta trip and the smell of bananas was just the feeling of home.

mummi has a habit of bringin back lots of food,
which usually ends up a funni situation.
like when she had to dump 20kg of choc and food in sydney cos luggage overweight.
or the sight of her lugging home a whole carton of mulberries fr china.
anyway, this time she got us 2kg of avocados, punnets of strawberries, blackberries, raspberries and a big ambon cake.
there was also this apple pastry which had this cake layer reminiscent of kueh lapis.

that's y mummi's so loved by her children. =D
k kidding, i'll love her all the same. x)
oh i just realised fathers' day's this sun!
kept thinking it was on 22nd.

talking bout fathers,
dad visited last week.
i tink he decided to pop by sg along the way to china biz trip.
bought us mango cake we used to love for earli bday.
